SHANGHAI: China on Sunday launched a new, smaller type of rocket from its “Long March” family which will be primarily used for carrying satellites aloft, state media reported, as the country races ahead with an ambitious space programme.
The Long March-6, a newly developed carrier rocket which uses liquid propellant, took off from a launch base in the northern province of Shanxi on Sunday morning carrying 20 “micro” satellites, the official Xinhua news agency said.
据官媒报道，中国周日发射新型长征系列火箭，该型火箭主要用于运载卫星。报道称，中国正在迅速推进雄心勃勃的太空计划。
长征6号是新开发的使用液体推进剂的运载火箭。据新华社报道，周日早上，长征6号搭载20个小卫星，从山西的一个发射基地起飞。

The white rocket, imprinted with the Chinese flag at the top, climbed into bluish-grey skies, footage aired by state broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) showed.
One Chinese official suggested that the smaller rocket will make China more competitive in the lucrative market for commercial satellite launches.

Technology wise China is ahead of India . Far ahead. Look how much they spend on science and research. Only when we realise that science and research is the key, and start spending for science education and real research, we can think of becoming some where nearer to them.

The two important things about this launch. 1. The new rocket engine. It’s new and will be used to power the gigantic Long March 5 that will be on its first launch next year. It will be a huge booster for CHina’s space technology. 2. the capability to send 20 satellites on one launch. The more important is sending the satellites in different oribits. BTW, ISRO is still lagging behind CHina in big way.

India should take this VERY seriously. China is not now, never has been, and never will be a “friend” as long as that co**ist party is in power. India should NOT form any alliance with China and should NOT give any technology to them for anything, much less space or missiles. China makes promises to “forget the past” and “put territorial dispute on the back burner” hen it is in their interests. They said the same things to Japan, Vietnam, etc. We all the know results.
印度应当予以严肃看待。
只要tg执政，中国现在不是，以前不是，以后也永远不会是印度的“朋友”。
印度不应与中国组成任何形式的联盟，不应把任何技术转让给他们，更别说太空技术和导弹技术了。
中国承诺忘记过去，搁置领土争端，而这是符合他们利益的。
