1、政府无能导致50多万人病死;
2、社会管控失据每年数千美国人因枪击案被杀;
3、司法的种族主义导致黑人嫌疑人被滥杀;
4、少数族裔的人权被肆意侵犯;

A woman of Asian descent was violently assaulted in New York City on Sunday while she was traveling to a protest against anti-Asian violence in what police are calling a hate crime.

The 37-year-old woman, who was not identified, was walking in lower Manhattan when a man approached her and snatched her protest sign, the New York Police Department said Monday.

"The individual attempted to place the sign into a garbage can but then placed the sign on the ground and stomped on it," the NYPD said. "When the victim asked the male why he did that, he punched her twice in the face with a closed fist."

The suspect fled onto the nearby Astor Place subway station and the victim was treated for minor injuries at a city hospital, according to police.

The NYPD said its Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.

"The unidentified male is described as being approximately 6'1" tall, 200 pounds, with a medium complexion, slim build, black hair, last seen wearing a red Chicago Bulls hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a black baseball hat, a black face mask, black sneakers and carrying a green back pack," the police said in its public request for help identifying the suspect.

U.N. chief concerned by rise in anti-Asian violence
NEW YORK (Reuters) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is concerned about the rise of violence against Asians and people of Asian descent globally during the COVID-19 pandemic, a U.N. spokesman said on Monday.

While the U.N. statement does not single out any countries, it comes after a shooting in Atlanta earlier this month left eight people dead, six of them Asian-American women.

The shooting stoked fears among those in the Asian-American Pacific Islander community, which has reported a spike in hate crimes since March 2020 when then-President Donald Trump began referring to COVID-19 as the "China virus."

"The world has witnessed horrific deadly attacks, verbal and physical harassment, bullying in schools, workplace discrimination, incitement to hatred in the media and on social media platforms, and incendiary language by those in positions of power," U.N. spokesman Farhan Haq said.

"In some countries, Asian women have been specifically targeted for attack, adding misogyny to the toxic mix of hatred," he said.

During a visit to Atlanta on Friday, U.S. President Joe Biden deplored a surge in anti-Asian violence and asked all Americans to stand together against hate during a visit to the state on Friday.

------------------------------------
Basketball star Jeremy Lin said he fears that speaking out against attacks on Asian Americans could lead to further escalation in the hatred directed at the community.

Anti-Asian attacks and rhetoric have soared during the coronavirus pandemic, including Tuesday’s shootings at massage spas in the Atlanta area that killed eight people. Six of the victims were women of Asian descent.

“It feels like it’s happening more and it feels like it’s getting worse,” the Santa Cruz Warriors point guard told CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Wednesday during a discussion centered on the Georgia killings.

“Even for me, I’m starting to question, ’If I speak out more, am I encouraging more people to have even more hate by other people seeing these headlines? Are we encouraging more people to do more crazy things and to hurt more Asian Americans? It’s just a very fearful thought process,” said Lin.

Lin last month revealed that a rival player called him “coronavirus” on the court. He refused to name the athlete, asking on Twitter what good it would do “in this situation for someone to be torn down?”

Lin, while talking with Cooper, condemned ex-President Donald Trump’s incendiary rhetoric on the coronavirus. Trump used a series of racial slurs to describe the contagion, which was first discovered in China.

“The previous administration and the rhetoric that was being used,” Lin recalled, “you can even hear in the audio recordings, the cheers, the laughs, when it was called the ‘Kung Flu Virus’ and everybody was cheering. I think there’s just a lot of racially charged hatred right now that we’re seeing and feeling.”

Violence against Asian Americans now “feels very different,” he added.

“Growing up, it was always something that might be a little bit more subtle or verbal. But I think what we’re seeing right now is a lot of physical, actual violence, lives being taken, a lot of Asian Americans who are looking over their shoulders when they go outside, when they go to the grocery store,” said Lin. “And we’re starting to slowly see more and more reporting of what is going on, but this is something that is definitely hitting different.”
