一部《真探》让我掉入三个大坑
不定期整理《真探》第一季制作过程&幕后花絮，不可避免会重复讲一些大家已经知道了的，尽量按照时间顺序整理，但应该也会存在颠三倒四的情况，全部理完后会整理一个最终版本吧。
具体时间线主要以Nic和马修的版本为准，只怪Cary老是记不清时间
大家有料的都可以补充哦，跪求贴吧各路大神帮忙纠正不对之处

【剧本创作】
在2010年7月，Nic Pizzolatto花了一个月时间，写了6个电视剧剧本，包括一集《火线警探》剧本（speculative script），三集原创剧集剧本，两部原创剧集的试播集剧本，其中之一是《真探》的试播集剧本。而在五六月份的时候，Nic原本是打算写一部探案类小说的。在他有机会进入电视剧行业时，他把之前所做的准备都用到了《真探》的剧本创作中。
随后Nic与HBO打算合作，但这次并不是《真探》。一年之后，这部电视剧最终还是没能拍成。他还放弃了《七武士》电影重拍的剧本创作，一心想拍《真探》。

After an unfulfilling stint in academia, Pizzolatto came West in the summer of 2010 with a half-dozen scripts -- a Justified spec, a bull-riding drama and a draft of True Detective among them -- and a desire to change his family's circumstances.
When a pair of agents involved in the Galveston deal asked whether he had any TV ideas brewing, he excitedly said yes, then churned out six scripts in a month.
He took a pass at a Magnificent Seven film remake starring Tom Cruise, scored a deal to develop his bull-riding script at HBO.

据《好莱坞报道者》采访，Nic在与经济公司（Anonymous Content）老总Steve Golin开会时把剧本给Golin看了，之后项目真正启动了[4]。{此处时间不明}

Cary在2011年春天第一次读了试播集的剧本[5]，后来又读了第二集剧本[6]。因为Cary和Nic同属一家经纪公司，所以当Cary的经纪人把剧本给他后他就和Nic见面并相谈甚欢。后来《鸟人》导演阿加多·冈萨雷斯·伊纳里多也接触了剧本，但并没有接手，于是导筒又落到了Cary手中，他在2011年秋天正式接手《真探》[6]。

Cary从仅有的两集剧本中感受到的意象是他最初选择接手《真探》的原因之一[6]。

在2012年初[7]，《真探》监制Richard Brown给马修的经纪人Jim Toth打了一通电话[8][9]，告诉经纪人他们要与福永合作，故意没有透露是电视剧。由于马修非常喜欢福永的处女作电影《无名》(Sin Nombre)[10]，于是看了前两集剧本，立马喜欢上了剧本以及Rust这个角色。当时剧组是希望由马修饰演Marty，但马修说服了大家由他来饰演Rust[7]。之后马修推荐了伍迪饰演Marty，剧组表示他们也想邀请伍迪，鉴于马修和伍迪是多年好友，希望他能请来伍迪。但伍迪的说法是马修的推荐起到了至关重要的作用[10]。

2012年4月[13]，在导演和两位主演都到位后，《真探》被推销给Netflix, FX, Showtime, AMC, HBO等主流电视网，其中Showtime几乎都到手了，但HBO以更高的报价杀了过去，以每集400-450万美元的预算成功拿下了该剧[14][15]。

Cary和Nic同属一家经纪公司，2011年春天[5]Cary的经纪人给了他Nic写的试播集剧本，Cary反常地立马就看了剧本。看完后他就打电话告诉公司他很感兴趣，但公司告诉他Alejandro Iñárritu已经接手了。六个月后，Iñárritu放弃执导《真探》，公司再次询问Cary是否有兴趣，于是Cary和Nic在纽约见了面，两人相谈甚欢。最后Cary在2011年秋天正式接手《真探》[6][7]。
