Incredible footage has emerged of the moment a crocodile and a shark engaged in an epic battle for fish scraps in Western Australian.
The scraps had been discarded from the side of a charter boat which had stopped along the Prince Regent River in the state's Kimberley region during a fishing expedition,Perth Now reported.
A number of sharks had already been circling in the water eagerly awaiting an early morning feed when the saltwater crocodile approached.


When more fish scraps were then thrown into the water, both the shark and the crocodile pounced.
But the crocodile was not willing to let go of the fish without a fight, proceeding to then latch on to the shark.
With the top of the shark secured in its mouth, the crocodile quickly swam away from the boat to a nearby mangrove.
Perth filmmaker Christian Kennedy, who saw the battle alongside fellow filmmaker Jadranko Silic, said the boat crew were 'pretty amazed' by what they had witnessed.
