There are lots of benefits to living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. There isn't a lot of places you can live where you will feel all four seasons of the year in one day. Not many places can you leave for work bundled up in a jacket only to come home and put shorts on afterwards.
Another benefit of living in the metroplex is the ability to enjoy all four major sports. Not only do we have America's Team, but we also have the Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars and of course the Dallas Mavericks.
People in the DFW area might be a little spoiled when it comes to sports; thanks largely in part to the Dallas Cowboys and their Super Bowls. Even though it's been almost two decades since the last title, fans over at Jerry World still believe this year will be the next title.
Because of this, people are a little skeptical when it comes to teams not winning championships. Not only do people expect it, sometimes they have a hard time supporting a team if they don't win on a consistent basis.

正因为如此，球队失冠多少动摇了当地球市的信心，要知道当地观众也是相当渴望能获得总冠军，这使得球队得用一波连胜才能挽回观众的人气。
Enter the Dallas Mavericks. For over a decade now, the team has been winning and in the playoffs, minus last year of course. For most of the Dirk Nowitzki years, though, this team has been relevant and in the playoffs. They made two NBA Finals during that time and even won a title.
As you would expect this playoff run and championship has brought many people to the American Airlines Center to cheer the Mavs. These fans have been there to sell out the arena as they watch the Mavs battle for another title.
My question, though, is how many of these people are true Mavs fans? Are they real fans or are they posers who jumped on the band-wagon at the right time? Here's a list of 15 ways to know if you're a true Mavs fan or not.

Dallas had the luxury of Steven Nash, Michael Finley and Dirk Nowitzki all playing together during the early part of the 21st century. However, it seemed apparent that in order for Dirk to completely take control of this team, the other two pieces might need to leave. Nash left via free-agency to the Phoenix Suns. Finley seemed destined to remain a Maverick forever until they decided to waive him in order to take advantage of the one-time amnesty provision.Dirk took over as the true leader and never looked back.

5、Until they won the championship, the greatest accomplishment for Dallas was sweeping the Lakers in the 2011 playoffs

The Mavericks were in the middle of a playoff series drought. After losing the 2006 Finals, the Mavs struggled with winning a playoff series. In 2011, Dallas got past the Portland Trailblazers but nobody gave them a shot against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were two-time defending champions and were the favorites to represent the Western Conference again. Dallas, however, not only stopped the Lakers but they did it in dominating fashion as they swept the Lakers out of the playoffs. This would be the greatest moment in franchise history until a month later.

The Mavericks had a chance to win an NBA title in 2006 when they played the Miami Heat. After winning the first two games, Dallas held a 13 point lead with 6:40 left to go in game three. The next 6:40, the entire Mavs family found out who Dwyane Wade was. Wade put on a performance that would make Michael Jordan proud as he almost single-handedly brought the Heat back to win the game and ultimately the series.
To make things worse for Mavs fans, Wade also won the MVP award during the All-Star game that was hosted in Dallas during the 2009-2010 season.

Dwyane Wade may be the person that scored all the points for the Miami Heat in the 2006 NBA Finals, but true Mavs fans know the reason Dallas lost the title was because of the name Bennett Salvatore. Salvatore was part of an extremely controversial ending in game five that helped give Miami the title.
Mavs fans know that if Dan Crawford is officiating a playoff game in which Dallas is involved, the chances of winning go down exponentially. At one point the Mavs were 2-16 in playoff games when he officiated.

Mavs fans started cringing on the Monday morning after their Game 2 victory over the Heat in the Finals. Dallas had a 2-0 lead and looked poised to win the title. However, the Dallas mayor announced they had a parade route already lined up and ready for when the Mavs won the title. Every true Mavs fan knows this was the start of the demise.

For those of you who don't know, Mavs Man is a scary individual the Mavs try to use as entertainment in the arena during timeouts and such. The problem is that his costume is a bit scary. The attempt to make him look like a basketball and turned him into a Spiderman look-alike.

Tyson Chandler was the anchor that held this team together defensively during their title run in 2011. It's a shame that they couldn't find a way to bring him back again for one more shot. Rather, Chandler signed with the Knicks and was named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Makes me tear up just typing it.

关于这个问题，牛吧也讨论过很多次了，有人认为现在的钱总还是受到伤病的困扰，他在尼克斯的这两个多赛季，基本都会因为伤病问题而休战，而且11-12赛季拥有“三巨头”的尼克斯不是照样被热火狂虐？好吧，其实各有各的观点。我觉得有些牛米觉得放走他是对的原因，也有钱总只在我牛待了一个赛季的因素吧。可以对比一下@何塞胡安巴利亚、@31jet还有@纳不防等，感情深的话，即使现在状态不怎么好，很多牛米也是想看到他们回来的。
