George Lopez: Hey Aaron, what do you guys use on the show for the meth?
Aaron Paul: It’s… rock candy. It’s cotton candy-flavoured rock candy. I brought you some.
George Lopez: You did? Let me see it!
Aaron Paul: Yeah! Look at this. I brought him some!
George Lopez: Hey, so everywhere you go, people ask you for it?
Aaron Paul: They always ask! “Can you hook me up? Can you hook it up?’ And now I just started bringing it. Actually whenever someone is new to the show, I try to convince them “you have to try our product! You have to do it!” because it’s so good and it’s so addicting! And at first they’re like “no, no” and I’m like “just try it!” and eventually you’ll see them in between takes going to these giant bins of meth, grabbing handfuls and shoving them into their [pockets]… It’s amazing.
George Lopez: Do they eat it?
Aaron: Yeah, try it! Please. Please try it… How good is it?! It’s so good.

Interviewer: Was there any joking between you and Dean [Norris] about the fact that Hank describes your character as “dreamy” in episode 3.04 (Green Light)?
Aaron: [Laughs] I definitely think there might have been some jokes going around. I know I laughed when I read that script. It’s so funny. So many people say I have such intense eyes. I like to think I’m a nice guy, but maybe that’s why I play intense characters, because of my eyes. I don’t know. Do they come across creepy?
Interviewer: No. [Laughs] Confident, I would say. Pretty.
Aaron: Oh. Thank you. Yeah I think it was just the whole lighting set up maybe. The directors were like, “Let’s just make his eyes pop. Let’s make him look somewhat attractive.” You know: “He might be a little underweight, maybe have a kind of pointy nose, but if we really just focus on his eyes maybe something will work.”
Interviewer: The cashier did end up taking the meth…
Aaron: She did. She did. It worked out.

Interviewer: If you don’t relate to [Jesse] how do you get into something like that? How do you bring out that emotion?
Aaron: Uhh, I have no idea. I just wing it on set every day. I don’t know.

Uh, yes, the show is so unbelievably exhausting, I don’t know if you noticed, I mean - obviously if you watch the show, you realize that they love to just beat the hell out of Jesse and uh (laughs) physically, emotionally and mentally, uh, it’s very draining.

They know it was a rough ride. I think they understand each other as true partners now. I don’t think Walt considers himself as a boss to Jesse anymore. Maybe deep down, because Walt has a big ego, but I think Jesse sees himself as being equal to Walt.—
