就，觉得格劳龙挺有意思的，想把中洲历史里关于这条龙的内容整理一下，主要是设定方面的，至于他干过啥，中洲人都知道，不用再多说了。
所以这个帖子是个碎碎念贴，内容主要是摘录，可能还会有点小吐槽吧。不定期更，因为不知道哪天会看到些啥。总之会是我觉得比较有意思的东西。

关于龙的天性的段落是这么写的：

至于格劳龙的颜色，我简直怀疑插画家都是黑子，把龙祖宗画得要么黑要么绿，然鹅，人家是美腻的金色！

除了龙的颜色各不相同之外，品种也十分众多。
第五卷的《词源学》一文里提到：

很遗憾没有找到关于格劳龙身长的描写，但对他的视力和速度，在第十一卷的《灰精灵编年史》里有很详细的描述：

'But Glaurung was aware of all that they did': where NE (p. 117) says of Glaurung that his eyes 'outreached the far sight of the Elves' a rejected formof the passage has the notable statement: 'Indeed further reached the sight of his fell eyesthan even the eyes of the Elves (whichthrice surpass those of Men).' Also, where it is said in NE that Glaurung 'went swiftly, for he was a mighty Worm, and yet lithe', there followed in the manuscript, but placed in brackets later, 'and he could go as speedily as a man could run, and tire not in a hundred leagues.'

查了一下，成年人的步行速度是1.75~2米/秒，那么也就是时速6.3~7.2公里，跑动速度是步行速度的3~5倍，那么大概就是18.9~36公里/小时，平均一点的话大概是30公里/小时吧。
上面还提到了各个种族的视力，以人的视力为参照，精灵的视力范围是人类的三倍，格劳龙的视力更好，那么矮人呢？很遗憾，矮人可能是近视眼……第十一卷的《昆迪与埃尔达》介绍矮人创造出的手势语言里写道：
Not for communication at a distance, for the Dwarves were short-sighted, but forsecrecy and the exclusion of strangers.
其作用并不是为了远距离通讯，因为矮人是近视眼，而是为了排斥陌生人和保密。
在第十二卷《关于语言的附录》一节里再一次提到了龙对语言的精通：
In Bilbo's time there was a language very widely used all over the West (the Western parts of the Great Lands of those days). It was a sort of lingua-franca, made up of all sorts of languages, but the Elvish language (of the North West) for the most part. It was called the Western language or Common Speech; and in Bilbo's time had already passed eastward over the Misty Mountains and reached Lake Town, and Beorn, and even Smaug (dragons were ready linguists in allages)....
